Lyrics, songwriting & story
Girl from the east coast, who are you?
I didn’t mean to stare, I noticed your tattoos.
She smiled with her eyes, seemed to talk with her hips.
Kinda made me wonder what she does with those lips…
Girl from the east coast, how’d you choose?
Between a train to Montreal, and these New Scotland views?
She took me by the hand, which took me by surprise.
Showed me all the things I need to see before I…
Would you point me home if I get lost?
Would you entertain my thoughts?
She hit me like the rain, a sting to numb the pain… I didn't know it'd burned like whisky when she kissed me.
Pulled me under with my sins, was up to me to sink or swim… I couldn’t fight it, my tide is rising lately.
Girl from the east coast who are you?
